Milestone’s most iconic media build to date. Managed by Penny Kendall and Jason Jeynes, this project involved the comprehensive development of a virgin site in accordance with Heathrow Airport's strict HAL engineering standards, whilst also adhering to their robust processes and procedures. On a civils front the project included the removal of redundant legacy foundations, the completion of trenching, re-routing of existing services, ducting, tarmac areas, resin bound pathways and landscaping. Prior to the fabrication and assembly phase, much consideration went into the design of the cladding around the screen structure to ensure it achieved the aesthetic objectives but remained practical for maintenance purposes.  Similarly much engineering consideration was given to the plane and the structure upon which it was mounted - as by their very nature planes are designed to react to dynamic wind conditions ... when in this instance we wanted to minimise and mitigate that!
